Shipping Administrator - Bell Equipment

Description : Shipping Administrator. Company : Bell Equipment. Location : South Africa

DUTIES:

  • Verification of imported goods and import documentation (invoice, pack list, customs documents, EURO1 certificates).
  • Issuing of Clearing Instructions to Forwarder.
  • Create, maintain and manage Shipment Confirmations in SAP.
  • Prepare and submit documentation to Receiving and Creditors.
  • Track & trace all shipments & communicate details to internal customers within the hour.
  • Manage overdue shipments from the Forwarder and Receiving.
  • Negotiate with Clearing/Forwarding agent on shipments, rates, documents, storage charges.
  • Investigate and resolve all shipment queries/discrepancies (over/under receipts, superseded items, claims, credits).
  • On time processing of Customer freight charge outs and submit to Finance.
  • Update Shipping Register.
  • Filing and Reporting.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Abet Level 4 (essential)
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, SAP
  • Two years administrative experience in imports shipping (essential)
  • Good knowledge & understanding of imports documentation & charges
  • Excellent communication skills in English (speak, read and write)
